SUNBIRD® lighting was established in 2007 and is now a global leader in poultry lighting. The SUNBIRD® system has been designed to offer an extremely long lifespan thereby eliminating the need for bulb replacement. This accompanied by superior dimming performance, and the simplest and most robust means of installation, make SUNBIRD® the smart choice for poultry and pig farmers around the world. Primary manufacturing takes place in South Africa in accordance with ISO9001 standards, with certain key components proudly manufactured in the USA.
SUNBIRD® products have been developed to create the ideal environments for peak livestock and farm performance. Light has a significant influence on the welfare of poultry, so maximise your bird performance with the ideal light to flourish. We have solutions for breeder, rearing, broiler, and commercial layers in chicken, turkey, and duck farming operations. Our system is also suitable for pigs, mushroom, and other high humidity applications.
SUNBIRD’s lighting system comprises of four primary components, the lights, the external industrial grade drivers, the dimmers (manual, Dusk to Dawn and 0-10V mode), and the repeater units (slave to the dimmer). A single dimmer can control an unlimited number of lights by using repeaters. The industrial grade drivers convert the incoming 110~305VAC to the systems 48VDC operating voltage. The various components are factory fitted into SUNBIRD® enclosures ready for plug and play installation on site. All components are easily replaceable using toolless terminals. The complete system is designed and manufactured to ensure perfect control with maximum lifespan.
