Edstrom is a leader in automatic watering systems. Designed for watering systems pressurized at 40 PSI, this 303 stainless steel, Edstrom’s ½” drinker nipple is ideal for finishers.
Engineered for simplicity, the nipple is free from springs or orifices to provide years of trouble-free service. The finisher nipple also features an adjustable flow rate and use-activated water dispersal: to drink, the pig simply moves the stem by biting on it. When it removes its mouth, the stem returns to its closed position by the elastic force of the silicone rubber diaphragm.
The diaphragm can be flexed thousands of times without failure and is not subject to breakdown from corrosion or mineral buildup. The replaceable O-ring seal provides a positive water shut-off. To protect the O-ring seal in the nipple from damage by sand and/or particulate contamination, the water supply to the nipples should be filtered with a 200 mesh filter or finer.
Edstrom ½” Finisher Nipple Features:
- Calibrated to discharge 1.5 qt/min at 40 PSI
- All Edstrom nipple waterers have a ½” male pipe thread (MPT) connection, which comes pre-wrapped with PTFE tape for quick installation
- Edstrom nipple waterers will operate on gravity or pressure systems upto 50 psi
- Water flow rate can be changed by adjusting the tightness of the retainer screw
