Calf-Tel’s MultiMax group calf-raising system is ideal for housing three (3) to four (4) similarly sized, weaned calves. When calves raised individually are placed in large groups, the stress from competition and social pressure can lead to setbacks in growth and health. A group calf-raising system is the best way to ease the transition. Continued growth and health will be attained as animals bond into a social group.
The MultiMax calf hutch features a new rear bedding door for easy access. Its large front entryway and ridge top ventilation offer improved air circulation, ideal for group calf-raising. Alongside the expanded entryway, the MultiMax offers calves extra height, at 72 inches in height when fully assembled. The added height allows calves to stay in the hutch for longer.
The MultiMax is built to last. A treated lumber base provides a stable and secure foundation while the structure's high-molecular-weight polyethylene plastic will not break down and deteriorate. Additionally, the nonporous polyethylene plastic prevents mold and bacteria growth while being easy to clean in-between calf rotations.

multimax hutch
It's a great little building and should suit my purposes. It was a bit of a pain to put together. The instructions were really poor - had to finally go to Calf-Tel's website to find the 5 pages of instruction that should be included with a knocked down hutch. The hardware was more than adequate - with plenty of bolts, washer and nuts (really small nuts!!!) Any one with large hands could never have screwed on those little tiny nuts.

calf-tel multimax hutch
If you assemble this yourself - go to calf tel's website and get the instructions (all 5 pages) otherwise the instructions they send with hardware are totally inadequate. Some of the holes in the back don't line up with the sides - we might have to drill new ones - still thinking about it.. It took two of us (60ish people) nearly 4 hours to assemble . Some of the bolts could be a little longer, but we managed. Also were supposed to have rivets - but none were included. I really like it - but what a pain to put together - but delivery prices were more than the hutch cost.
