Plastic Poultry Flooring 2 ft. x 4 ft.

Slatted plastic poultry flooring is an ideal solution for chicken coops and poultry houses. Each section measures 2 feet by 4 feet for ease of installation across a range of floor sizes.

The primary source of contamination of hatching eggs is contact with dirty sources. For a safer, more biosecure poultry house, eggs laid on plastic also had significantly less surface microorganisms than those laid on wood slats.

Unlike wood, plastic is rot-proof and non-porous, making it more biosecure and easily to clean. Additionally, plastic slat chicken flooring reduces foot pad problems, leg problems, and breast blisters that are experienced with wood slats.

It is recommended that you use 2” x 4” or 2” x 6” wooden supports; fasten these support beams to the slat with No.10 stainless steel head screws with a minimum length of 2”.

Poultry Flooring does not have a weight load or capacity described because it fully depends on the construction of the support’s underneath it. This flooring alone is not self-standing. Vendors recommend 2 x 6 floor joist supports underneath the flooring between 16 and 24 inches on center.
