DETAILS

Swine gestation stalls, also known as sow stalls, are individual enclosures used in pig farming to house pregnant sows. These stalls are typically made of metal and are designed to confine a sow in a space just large enough for her to stand up, lie down, and take a step forward or backward, but not turn around.

Gestation Stall:

  • Sloped Front Sloped Back Design
  • Straight Front & Straight Back Design Available
  • Feed tubes are standard items on all stalls to adapt to your feeding system
  • Rounded corners on all tabs to prevent injury to the sow
  • Bolt on Top strapping eliminates welding during installation
  • Silver pain gives a brighter room appearance

Advantages of Gestation Stalls

  • Reduced Aggression: Prevents dominant sows from bullying others, which can lead to injuries.
  • Individual Feeding: Allows precise control over each sow’s diet, ensuring proper nutrition.
  • Easier Health Monitoring: Facilitates individual medical treatment and observation of pregnancy conditions.
  • Space Efficiency: Maximizes the number of animals housed in a given space compared to group pens.
