How to Use Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare Cleaning Solution

• Mix 1 gallon of water (most standard units).
• For larger units such as the D40 or D45, use 2 gallons of water.

Step 2: Disassemble the Unit

• Take the medicator apart to ensure all internal components can be fully submerged.
• For example, on a D25F:
• Remove the top lid
• Pull out the piston
• Remove the check valve

Step 3: Soak Internal Components

• Fully submerge all internal parts in the solution.
• The most important area to clean is the internal components (“guts”).
• Some buildup may be visible on the outside, but the focus should be on cleaning the inside thoroughly.

Step 4: Remove Buildup

• Allow parts to soak long enough to loosen and remove:
• Iron buildup
• Calcification
• Mineral deposits

Step 5: Prevent Internal Damage

• Cleaning the internal body prevents scoring inside the medicator housing.
• Buildup acts like sandpaper as the piston moves up and down, which can cause internal scoring and premature wear.
